After 10 minutes of play, AC Milan's Antonello Gazza made it 0-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Marco Silvestri was left in no man's land by his defense there! Marco Silvestri made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dennis Crosta in the 14th minute of play. 15 minutes into the match, Giuseppe Basso had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Marco Silvestri. SPALLETTE RETURNS's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Giuseppe Basso was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-3. After 17 played minutes AC Milan got a freekick which was hit by Christian Gallo. In the 19th minute, Vygandas Jančiauskas got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Fabio Colaneri showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Vygandas Jančiauskas in the 21st minute of the match. 22 minutes into the game, Vygandas Jančiauskas recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Fabio Colaneri. Vygandas Jančiauskas showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-3. Vygandas Jančiauskas could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 25th minute of the match, but Fabio Colaneri made a huge save. In the 27th minute of the match, Vygandas Jančiauskas got a very nice opportunity to score, but Fabio Colaneri was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. After a rather tough play, AC Milan's Christian Gallo got a free kick in the 30th minute. Augusto Bevilacqua's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Fabio Colaneri firmly grabbed it by the left post. In the 39th minute, Davide Mariano hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The first half was very even, with the score at 3-3 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

If Vygandas Jančiauskas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 69th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Davide Burgnich hit a great freekick 74 minutes into the match. After 75 minutes, Davide Mariano mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the AC Milan and the SPALLETTE RETURNS players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to AC Milan getting a freekick after 75 minutes play. Davide Mariano hit a great ball. 77 minutes into the game, Alberto Chioda was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. AC Milan's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave SPALLETTE RETURNS the free kick. 77 minutes into the game, one of AC Milan:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. The referee gave SPALLETTE RETURNS a penalty, 78 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Augusto Bevilacqua, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of AC Milan's Fabio Colaneri. 5-3. SPALLETTE RETURNS's Marco Silvestri proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 83rd minute of the match, managed to save SPALLETTE RETURNS from getting a goal against them. An unexpectedly hard shot by Vygandas Jančiauskas in the 84th minute of play forced AC Milan's goalkeeper Fabio Colaneri to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Fabio Colaneri made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Augusto Bevilacqua in the 85th minute of play. AC Milan's Fabio Colaneri played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Vygandas Jančiauskas in the 90th minute of play. Vygandas Jančiauskas's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Fabio Colaneri read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 93rd minute of play. Fabio Colaneri showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Vygandas Jančiauskas, who was totally free with the ball in the 97th minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Joakim Asserlind in the 98th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Marco Silvestri prevented the ball from getting in the gole. SPALLETTE RETURNS were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest.
