An unexpectedly hard shot by Rafail Rusev in the 38th minute of play forced Les Pionniers de Touraine's goalkeeper Tanek Zurawski to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Valette Stars's Adrien Tanneau played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Abraham Beauval in the 43rd minute of play. The supporters of Les Pionniers de Touraine booed when Valette Stars was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 73 match minutes in a wonderful position.
