U.S.Normande's supporters crossed their fingers, but Léopold Fraval was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Youri Borderie in the 11th minute of play forced Valette Stars's goalkeeper Adrien Tanneau to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 13th match minute, U.S.Normande was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Aurélien Mussard to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rafail Rusev in the 14th minute of play forced U.S.Normande's goalkeeper Mikael Damm to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Adrien Tanneau made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Youri Borderie in the 17th minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Rafail Rusev got free with Mikael Damm in the 21st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Deng Wei Feng kicked well hit freekick during the 21st minute of the match. 24 minutes into the match, Valette Stars's goal looked a bit too open when Léopold Fraval came free, but Adrien Tanneau reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. U.S.Normande were awarded a corner in the 25th minute after Valette Stars's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Aymerick Tourrette took the corner. The corner ended in Aymerick Tourrette almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Valette Stars's Adrien Tanneau did a great save. Oğuzkan Kamuran sent away a hard shot on goal in the 26th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The audience was convinced that Léopold Fraval's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Adrien Tanneau was relentless in the 29th minute of the game. In the 45th minute, Guillaume Chaine got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Léopold Fraval received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 47th minute. Adrien Tanneau tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Guillaume Chaine was the one to do the kick off. 51 minutes into the match, Valette Stars's goal looked a bit too open when Youri Borderie came free, but Adrien Tanneau reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Léopold Fraval hit a great freekick 53 minutes into the match. Rafail Rusev fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 54th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mikael Damm having to interfere. Valette Stars's Rafail Rusev got a good chance for a goal in the 57th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Valette Stars's Julien Chassot was substituted for Oğuzkan Kamuran. After a rather tough play, Valette Stars's Armand Plaza got a free kick in the 69th minute. In the 70th minute, Armand Plaza hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Aymerick Tourrette took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 71st minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Adrien Tanneau. Valette Stars's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. In the 72nd minute Guillaume Chaine shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mikael Damm saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A collision led to U.S.Normande getting a freekick after 74 minutes play. Léopold Fraval hit a great ball. If Youri Borderie had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 83rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Youri Borderie in the 89th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Adrien Tanneau prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Amadeu Martins kicked well hit freekick during the 95th minute of the match. The U.S.Normande supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing U.S.Normande would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
