In the 8th minute, Farid Verrecchia hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 9 minutes into the match, Le Stade Briochin UC's goalkeeper Lev Yashin had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Léon Monnet. In a very dangerous position, a player in Herblay fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 11th minute. Penalty! In the 17th minute Norbert Cadart shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Lev Yashin saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Herblay's Léon Monnet got a good chance for a goal in the 20th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Ludomil Kajdasz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jaime Tabor, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Lev Yashin made an important save on a dangerous shot by Dimitri Bougault in the 25th minute. The crowd rose to their feet as Norbert Cadart kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Lev Yashin. That made the score 1-2 in the 26 minute of play. In the 28th minute the ball was on its way in behind Le Stade Briochin UC's goalkeeper Lev Yashin, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Norbert Cadarts short, quick shot in the 32ndth minute got Lev Yashin to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Ludomil Kajdasz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jaime Tabor in the 41st minute of the match. After 44 played minutes Norbert Cadart could catch the ball where he stood relatively free a bit outside the goal and without hesitation he completed 2-2 into the left cross. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

Le Stade Briochin UC made a substitution. Renan Leveau replaced Malik Courtine. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Nolan Roux made a kick off. In the 53rd minute, Sylvain Missonnier hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Nolan Roux struck a weak shot in the 54th minute. Ludomil Kajdasz didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Le Stade Briochin UC. When the match clock showed 57 minutes, the score became 3-2 when Norbert Cadart sped through Le Stade Briochin UC's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Lev Yashin. Herblay's Ben Girouard was substituted for Billy Magnin. Le Stade Briochin UC's Lev Yashin played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Norbert Cadart in the 61st minute of play. Herblay's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Dimitri Bougault in the 62nd minute. In the 65th match minute, Le Stade Briochin UC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ernest Sauze to maneuver through the defense. Le Stade Briochin UC made a substitution. Reinaud Arnoets replaced Jaime Tabor. 69 minutes into the match, Le Stade Briochin UC's goal looked a bit too open when Norbert Cadart came free, but Lev Yashin reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.
