SILMONT's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Adriano Guimarães in the 14th minute. SILMONT's Qiu Zhi played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bogdan Bambas in the 16th minute of play. If Bethel Raba had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 18th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. When the match clock showed 18 minutes, the score became 0-1 when Emílio Lendaa sped through Cosa nostra Lyon's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Clem Fath. Bethel Raba received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 23rd minute. Clem Fath tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Hercule Frison recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 28th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Clem Fath made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bethel Raba in the 33rd minute of play. 45 minutes into the match, SILMONT's goalkeeper Qiu Zhi had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Bogdan Bambas. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-3.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Bogdan Bambas stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Cosa nostra Lyon's Clem Fath proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 54th minute of the match, managed to save Cosa nostra Lyon from getting a goal against them. SILMONT made a substitution. Thomas Albaret replaced Bethel Raba. Cosa nostra Lyon's Thierry Platon managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Marcel Lemahieu in the 57 minute of the game. When Thierry Platon fell near the penalty area in the 58th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Cosa nostra Lyon's protests and gave Thierry Platon a yellow card for diving instead. After 58 played minutes Cosa nostra Lyon got a freekick which was hit by Thierry Platon. Normando Fiúza was extremely unlucky when he, in the 59th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. Clem Fath made a fantastic save in the 66th minute, when Normando Fiúza sent off a good shot on target. Qiu Zhi made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bogdan Bambas in the 69th minute of play. Qiu Zhi took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Bogdan Bambas, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 73rd minute, Normando Fiúza made a precise shot to the right of Clem Fath. Cosa nostra Lyon's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-4. Cosa nostra Lyon made a substitution. Florian Lardenois replaced Willy Hautefeuille. Cosa nostra Lyon's Erwann Patrice was substituted for Hercule Frison. An unexpectedly hard shot by Normando Fiúza in the 82nd minute of play forced Cosa nostra Lyon's goalkeeper Clem Fath to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 83rd minute, Bogdan Bambas made a precise shot to the right of Qiu Zhi. SILMONT's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-4. Normando Fiúza could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 89th minute of the match, but Clem Fath made a huge save. Clem Fath showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Normando Fiúza, who was totally free with the ball in the 94th minute. SILMONT's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
