In the 3rd minute, Sebastián Villa got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Paulo Rosio made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sebastián Villa in the 5th minute of play. Atletas Campesinos F.C.'s Paulo Rosio played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sebastián Villa in the 8th minute of play. Luís Hernandez sent away a hard shot on goal in the 11th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Thanks to some nice moves Luís Hernandez could shoot a difficult shot in the 11th minute, which Cornelio Villegas however easily saved by the left post. In the 14th minute Luís Hernandez shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cornelio Villegas saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Sebastián Villa in the 16th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Paulo Rosio prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Adolfo Umea made in the 17th minute of the game a quick throw-in and Sebastián Villa immediately put the ball in play. After 19 played minutes Cavaliers FC got a freekick which was hit by Jeremias Sandalio. Luís Hernandez succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 1-0 in the 21st playminute. Paulo Rosio showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Sebastián Villa, who was totally free with the ball in the 27th minute. Sebastián Villa's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Paulo Rosio read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 43rd minute of play. Teofilo Mikeldi took the ball and in the 46 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Paulo Rosio. Paulo Rosio dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

The wind increased when Luís Hernandez made the kick off in the second half. Severo Tohias hit a great freekick 52 minutes into the match. After 56 played minutes Atletas Campesinos F.C. got a freekick which was hit by Ciro Ostadar. After some careless play in the Atletas Campesinos F.C. defense, Sebastián Villa kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Paulo Rosio. The Atletas Campesinos F.C. fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Paulo Rosio should have stopped the shot. Luís Hernandez's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Cornelio Villegas read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 68th minute of play. After 70 played minutes Atletas Campesinos F.C. got a freekick which was hit by Gavino Peru. The audience thought a goal was coming when Sebastián Villa got free with Paulo Rosio in the 74th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Sebastián Villa received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 77th minute. Paulo Rosio tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Adolfo Galindo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 82nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Cornelio Villegas showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Luís Hernandez, who was totally free with the ball in the 86th minute. Paulo Rosio came out of the goal in the 89th minute to try and stop a shot by Cavaliers FC's Sebastián Villa. But to his dismay, Sebastián Villa quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-3. Cavaliers FC made a substitution. Desiderio Rami replaced Ambrosio Iratxo. Adolfo Umea kicked well hit freekick during the 94th minute of the match.
