Raimundo Guimarães might have been able to make a better finish in the 20th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Samuel Evarado. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Raimundo Guimarães ran back to his position shaking his head. Twan Sans could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 23rd minute of the match, but Atilano Benat made a huge save. Dromes FC's Jack Grealish got a good chance for a goal in the 24th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Hermosillo FC's Samuel Evarado played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Franco Murillo in the 25th minute of play. The audience was convinced that Bernabe Ladio's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Atilano Benat was relentless in the 27th minute of the game. When the match had gone on for 33 minutes, Raimundo Guimarães put it in 0-1 from a short distance just to the right of Samuel Evarado. Samuel Evarado made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Raimundo Guimarães in the 35th minute of play. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Atilano Benat took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Bernabe Ladio, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When the match clock showed 62 minutes, the score became 1-1 when Mauricio Ekaitz sped through Dromes FC's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Atilano Benat. Hermosillo FC's Alejandro Lope was substituted for Javier Quentin. Atilano Benat took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Bernabe Ladio, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Dromes FC's Humberto Lleir was substituted for Raimundo Guimarães. Humberto Lleir sent away a hard shot on goal in the 72nd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. After a defensive mix-up in Hermosillo FC's zone, Franco Murillo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Samuel Evarado came out of the goal and Franco Murillo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Samuel Evarado made a fantastic save in the 74th minute, when Humberto Lleir sent off a good shot on target. Dromes FC were awarded a corner in the 75th minute after Hermosillo FC's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Edgard Monteiro took the corner. Samuel Evarado made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Humberto Lleir in the 85th minute of play. Franco Murillo could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 86th minute of the match, but Samuel Evarado made a huge save. 87 minutes had been played when some careless play by Hermosillo FC's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Edgard Monteiro was slow to take the kick. During this time Dromes FC's players had a chance to rest. Alejandro Lope thought of kicking away a contribution in front of goal but messed it up so badly that the ball went to the right of an astonished Samuel Evarado, a very annoying self made goal in the 87th minute which led to 1-2. Samuel Evarado made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Humberto Lleir in the 90th minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Humberto Lleir got free with Samuel Evarado in the 94th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After 94 played minutes Hermosillo FC got a freekick which was hit by Boguslaw Wydrych.
