The GALACTICOS fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. When the match clock showed 18 minutes, the score became 0-2 when Noel Hägele sped through Club Deportivo Logroño's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Samuel Falguera. Samuel Falguera stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Noel Hägele's shot from short distance in the 21st minute. A collision led to Club Deportivo Logroño getting a freekick after 26 minutes play. Ismael Cabezon hit a great ball. Noel Hägele fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 26th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Samuel Falguera having to interfere. The audience was convinced that Noel Hägele's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Samuel Falguera was relentless in the 30th minute of the game. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

56 minutes into the match, GALACTICOS's goal looked a bit too open when Salomon Almonte came free, but Esteban Dreer reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Samuel Falguera made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Noel Hägele in the 60th minute of play. When Ayoví Balaguer fell near the penalty area in the 69th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Club Deportivo Logroño's protests and gave Ayoví Balaguer a yellow card for diving instead. Alfredo Palos did an outstanding performance 71 minutes into the match, when he by himself got past the opposing team's defense and with a quick scored 0-5 to the right of an irritated Samuel Falguera in the goal.
