Marcin Kalemba made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Martinez Cines in the 2nd minute of play. In the 4th minute Esmeraldas S.C. were awarded a corner. Stefanos Terzopoulos went to the cornerflag to take it. After 8 minutes, Damian Maftei made it 1-0 with a short kick to the right side. BOMBILLO's Marcin Kalemba tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Marcin Kalemba made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Willy Reynolds in the 12th minute of play. After 14 minutes of play, Esmeraldas S.C.'s Stefanos Terzopoulos made it 2-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Marcin Kalemba was left in no man's land by his defense there! 18 minutes into the match, Willy Reynolds notched a goal, 3-0, to the right of BOMBILLO's Marcin Kalemba. Marcin Kalemba was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 20th minute Damian Maftei shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Marcin Kalemba saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The supporters of Esmeraldas S.C. booed when BOMBILLO was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 24 match minutes in a wonderful position. Marcel Curta didn't get a good kick on the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Willy Reynolds in the 29th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Marcin Kalemba saved BOMBILLO from getting behind. Marcin Kalemba stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Willy Reynolds's shot from short distance in the 30th minute. A collision led to BOMBILLO getting a freekick after 31 minutes play. Juan Chinchetru hit a great ball. Marcin Kalemba took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Damian Maftei, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gelu Ştirbu in the 33rd minute of play forced Esmeraldas S.C.'s goalkeeper Aguinaga Nebot to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 46th minute, Damian Maftei left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Esmeraldas S.C. fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 4-1. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 4-1 at half-time.

The wind increased when Chiquinho Correia made the kick off in the second half. Aguinaga Nebot showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jairo Maleta, who was totally free with the ball in the 51st minute. After 54 played minutes BOMBILLO got a freekick which was hit by Baha Sökmen. Marcin Kalemba made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Damian Maftei in the 57th minute of play. A nice corner shot did that Yan Zhou Xuan got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Marcin Kalemba quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Marcin Kalemba showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Stefanos Terzopoulos in the 60th minute of the match. Marcin Kalemba showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Stefanos Terzopoulos, who was totally free with the ball in the 63rd minute. 67 minutes had been played when some careless play by BOMBILLO's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Stefanos Terzopoulos was slow to take the kick. During this time Esmeraldas S.C.'s players had a chance to rest. The corner ended in Stefanos Terzopoulos almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but BOMBILLO's Marcin Kalemba did a great save. Marcin Kalemba took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Willy Reynolds, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Daniel Castillo in the 74th minute of play forced BOMBILLO's goalkeeper Marcin Kalemba to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Esmeraldas S.C.'s Damian Maftei in the 76th minute got a chance for a shot 76th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye BOMBILLO's goalie prevented a goal. If Chiquinho Correia had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 79th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 82nd minute the ball was on its way in behind BOMBILLO's goalkeeper Marcin Kalemba, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Marcin Kalemba took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Stefanos Terzopoulos, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Aguinaga Nebot made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Marcel Curta in the 90th minute of play. After 91 played minutes BOMBILLO got a freekick which was hit by Gelu Ştirbu. In the 92nd minute of the match Daniel Castillo shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Marcin Kalemba showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Damian Maftei in the 94th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Marcin Kalemba prevented the ball from getting in the gole.
