In the 3rd minute of the match, Vachon Udoy tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Aguinaga Nebot saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. After a rather tough play, Brewers FC's Zaquiel Baamonde got a free kick in the 4th minute. Urti Caicedo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Willy Reynolds in the 5th minute of the match. In the 8th minute of the match Esmeraldas S.C. got a corner. Brewers FC's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Stefanos Terzopoulos ran over to the corner to take the kick. When Ernesto Isusko fell near the penalty area in the 9th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Brewers FC's protests and gave Ernesto Isusko a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Brewers FC getting a freekick after 10 minutes play. Ernesto Isusko hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Damian Maftei in the 14th minute of play forced Brewers FC's goalkeeper Urti Caicedo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 16th match minute, Brewers FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Uhin Vielva to maneuver through the defense. Stefanos Terzopoulos took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 17th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Urti Caicedo. Brewers FC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Brewers FC's Zaquiel Baamonde managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Simon Caicedo in the 19 minute of the game. In the 34th minute Stefanos Terzopoulos shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Urti Caicedo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Urti Caicedo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Damian Maftei, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Aguinaga Nebot made a fantastic save in the 38th minute, when Vachon Udoy sent off a good shot on target. Torsti Puistola hit a great freekick 40 minutes into the match. Brewers FC's attentive Gian-Carlo Peñafiel managed to snatch the ball when Simon Caicedo made a throw-in in the 43rd minute of the game. After a defensive mix-up in Esmeraldas S.C.'s zone, Vachon Udoy stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Aguinaga Nebot came out of the goal and Vachon Udoy tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Damian Maftei to strike the kick off in the second half. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Stefanos Terzopoulos in the 53rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Urti Caicedo saved Brewers FC from getting behind. Yoel Achaque kicked well hit freekick during the 54th minute of the match. A collision led to Brewers FC getting a freekick after 55 minutes play. Yoel Achaque hit a great ball. After having played for 57 minutes, Stefanos Terzopoulos managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Esmeraldas S.C.'s supporters crossed their fingers, but Stefanos Terzopoulos was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After 58 played minutes Brewers FC got a freekick which was hit by Gian-Carlo Peñafiel. Urti Caicedo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Stefanos Terzopoulos, who was totally free with the ball in the 59th minute. After 77 played minutes Esmeraldas S.C. got a freekick which was hit by Simon Caicedo. In the 81st minute Damian Maftei shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Urti Caicedo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Aguinaga Nebot made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mario Garay in the 83rd minute of play. 84 minutes into the game, Esmeraldas S.C.'s Willy Reynolds nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Urti Caicedo made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. Brewers FC's Urti Caicedo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Damian Maftei in the 87th minute of play. The throw-in from Vachon Udoy in the 95th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Esmeraldas S.C.'s Oskar Petersson. Esmeraldas S.C.'s players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
