Club Deportes Santa Cruz's Jorge Vicente Basay played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Thalis Papazisis in the 35th minute of play. Jorge Vicente Basay stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Thalis Papazisis's shot from short distance in the 35th minute. After 36th play minutes Thalis Papazisis shot 2-0, a short shot which went by Jorge Vicente Basay and just under the crossbar into goal. The Baez FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 7-0. In the 94th minute, Club Deportes Santa Cruz's Salomón Alamo seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Salomón Alamo the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Club Deportes Santa Cruz protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Salomón Alamo had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. A collision led to Club Deportes Santa Cruz getting a freekick after 94 minutes play. Salomón Alamo hit a great ball. In the 96th minute, Salomón Alamo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Ruperto Ralondo struck a weak shot in the 97th minute. Jorge Vicente Basay didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Baez FC. There was no doubt that Baez FC were the better team. Baez FC's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
