After 13 minutes, Arnoldo Cantuarias mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the LA 90 and the Zorros del Desierto players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 13 played minutes LA 90 got a freekick which was hit by Arnoldo Cantuarias. The audience thought a goal was coming when Cai Jian Chang got free with Ruperto Bettini in the 16th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. With an all-out effort, Zorros del Desierto's Ruperto Bettini threw himself towards the right post 22 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Concetto Mare, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. In the 25th minute the ball was on its way in behind LA 90's goalkeeper Ruperto Bettini, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The crowd rose to their feet as Zorros del Desierto's Concetto Mare slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Ruperto Bettini. That made the score 3-0 after 27 minutes of play. Concetto Mare received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Ruperto Bettini came out and tried to block the shot, but Concetto Mare slotted it home off the left post making it 4-0 in the 31st minute. In the 38th minute, Concetto Mare left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Zorros del Desierto fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 5-0. In the 42nd minute the ball was on its way in behind LA 90's goalkeeper Ruperto Bettini, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Zorros del Desierto's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Cai Jian Chang in the 44th minute. A nice corner shot did that Cai Jian Chang got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Ruperto Bettini quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 5-0.

Ruperto Bettini showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Concetto Mare, who was totally free with the ball in the 51st minute. In the 55th minute Concetto Mare shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ruperto Bettini saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 60 minutes into the match, Concetto Mare notched a goal, 6-0, to the right of LA 90's Ruperto Bettini. Ruperto Bettini was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. The audience was convinced that Jonathan Lepe's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Ruperto Bettini was relentless in the 65th minute of the game. Urtsín Bravo's late challenge caught a Zorros del Desierto's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Urtsín Bravo helped the player get up and apologised. Urtsín Bravo hit a great freekick 70 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jonathan Lepe in the 72nd minute of play forced LA 90's goalkeeper Ruperto Bettini to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 78 minutes into the game, Domenico Wilkenson was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. LA 90's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Zorros del Desierto the free kick. Domenico Wilkenson hit a great freekick 78 minutes into the match.
