Luis Alberto Lazcano showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Juan Mondaca in the 4th minute of the match. 5 minutes into the match, Juan Mondaca notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Club Deportes Santa Cruz's Luis Alberto Lazcano. Luis Alberto Lazcano was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Juan Mondaca scored 0-2 in the 10th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Luis Alberto Lazcano, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Juan Mondaca's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Luis Alberto Lazcano read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 14th minute of play. 15 minutes had been played when some careless play by Club Deportes Santa Cruz's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Seran Turres was slow to take the kick. During this time Magallanes's players had a chance to rest. It was a well-played corner which Anacleto Dessauer managed to volley towards the net. Unfortunately, he didn't get a great hit on the ball and it went out into the grandstand. The audience was convinced that Juan Mondaca's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Luis Alberto Lazcano was relentless in the 22nd minute of the game. Club Deportes Santa Cruz's Luis Alberto Lazcano played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Juan Mondaca in the 24th minute of play. Fernán Nancupel replaced Luis Gaymer. After 30 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Club Deportes Santa Cruz! Luis Alberto Lazcano showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Juan Mondaca in the 34th minute of the match. Jasone Basualto sent away a hard shot on goal in the 42nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Jasone Basualto struck a weak shot in the 45th minute. Luis Alberto Lazcano didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Magallanes. In the 46th minute, Jaume Berecedo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Magallanes's Juan Mondaca got a good chance for a goal in the 48th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The Club Deportes Santa Cruz players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Magallanes were winning 0-2.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Elazar Dighero made a kick off. After 60 minutes Club Deportes Santa Cruz's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Seran Turres who took care of the corner kick. Club Deportes Santa Cruz's Luis Alberto Lazcano played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Kadim Sebil in the 66th minute of play. Kadim Sebil might have been able to make a better finish in the 68th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Luis Alberto Lazcano. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Kadim Sebil ran back to his position shaking his head. Luis Alberto Lazcano was out of position in the 70 minute of play, and Kadim Sebil capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Kadim Sebil really showed his touch with that goal: 0-4. Luis Alberto Lazcano took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Kadim Sebil, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Magallanes's Ida Bagus Leal quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Romildo Madrid, made in the 78th minute of the game. The audience thought a goal was coming when Kadim Sebil got free with Luis Alberto Lazcano in the 79th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 82nd minute, Kadim Sebil ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Luis Alberto Lazcano was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-5. In the 85th minute, Kadim Sebil left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Magallanes fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-6. Luis Alberto Lazcano stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Kadim Sebil's shot from short distance in the 88th minute. The crowd rose to their feet as Kadim Sebil kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Luis Alberto Lazcano. That made the score 0-7 in the 97 minute of play.
