After some fancy dribbling in the 5th minute, Vilhelm Vilhelmsson managed to get in a good position for a shot. U.C.MILÁN's supporters rose to their feet, but Vilhelm Vilhelmsson was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Anton Björnberg breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After 9 played minutes U.C.MILÁN got a freekick which was hit by Jose Manuel Gajardo. Menéndez Walton took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Rickard Erserman, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 13 minutes into the match, Inter de Chillán's goal looked a bit too open when Vilhelm Vilhelmsson came free, but Anton Björnberg reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Vilhelm Vilhelmsson in the 18th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Anton Björnberg saved Inter de Chillán from getting behind. After some careless play in the Inter de Chillán defense, Vilhelm Vilhelmsson kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Anton Björnberg. The Inter de Chillán fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Anton Björnberg should have stopped the shot. Anton Björnberg took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Vilhelm Vilhelmsson, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 39th minute, Vilhelm Vilhelmsson made a precise shot to the right of Anton Björnberg. Inter de Chillán's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-2. If Florencio Jax had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 44th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After the first half U.C.MILÁN were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Vatan Enfal was the one to do the kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Vilhelm Vilhelmsson in the 51st minute of play forced Inter de Chillán's goalkeeper Anton Björnberg to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Vilhelm Vilhelmsson received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Anton Björnberg came out and tried to block the shot, but Vilhelm Vilhelmsson slotted it home off the left post making it 0-3 in the 61st minute. Inter de Chillán's Arnaldo Detmer was substituted for Salvador Mateluna. U.C.MILÁN's Menéndez Walton played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alfonso Sotta in the 68th minute of play. Anton Björnberg made an important save on a dangerous shot by Vilhelm Vilhelmsson in the 69th minute. Anton Björnberg made a fantastic save in the 74th minute, when Vilhelm Vilhelmsson sent off a good shot on target. Menéndez Walton made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Vatan Enfal in the 78th minute of play. The supporters of U.C.MILÁN booed when Inter de Chillán was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 79 match minutes in a wonderful position. Fernán Chiquillo didn't get a good kick on the ball. Fernán Chiquillo kicked well hit freekick during the 80th minute of the match. Anton Björnberg made a fantastic save in the 81st minute, when Adán Ruz sent off a good shot on target. In the 87th minute, U.C.MILÁN's Vilhelm Vilhelmsson ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Anton Björnberg. Anton Björnberg yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 0-4. U.C.MILÁN's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
