An unexpectedly hard shot by Dong Jian Yang in the 15th minute of play forced Ballet Azul's goalkeeper José Luis Chilavert to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The supporters of ⓅⓀⓇ Unión San Felipe ★★★★ booed when Ballet Azul was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 55 match minutes in a wonderful position. Danilo Quiroga didn't get a good kick on the ball. José Luis Chilavert came out and tried to block the shot, but Armando Amarita slotted it home off the left post making it 2-2 in the 70th minute. Armando Amarita recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 73rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 74 minutes into the game, Eladio Ulloa cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-2. Fernán Moyano was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. René Puente received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 82nd minute. Fernán Moyano tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Hans Gulliksson's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but José Luis Chilavert read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 88th minute of play. Dong Jian Yang struck a weak shot in the 92nd minute. José Luis Chilavert didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for ⓅⓀⓇ Unión San Felipe ★★★★. Ballet Azul's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
