Juan Pedro Caviedes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 28th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nicodemo Recalde having to interfere. Nicodemo Recalde made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Balendín Castelblanco in the 29th minute of play. Nicodemo Recalde showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dimosthenis Siamantouras in the 32nd minute of the match. 37 minutes in the game, Marcel Blanco dribbled his way through the penalty area and after maneuvering past an opponent, drilled a quick shot at the goal. The ball looked like it was going in, but it was hit a bit too hard and flew over the goal. 42 minutes into the match, Dimosthenis Siamantouras had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Nicodemo Recalde. VILLANUEVA FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Dimosthenis Siamantouras was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. DEOXYS F.C.:s Abner Villalobos showed great skill when he stopped Xacobo Barroso:s penalty. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

With a couple of smart ball manuevers Xalvador Mac Kenney in the 51st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Abner Villalobos saved DEOXYS F.C. from getting behind. In the 52nd minute, DEOXYS F.C.'s Nauzet Clausen dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-2. Nicodemo Recalde showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Luis Alberto Gaviño, who was totally free with the ball in the 55th minute. DEOXYS F.C.'s Abner Villalobos played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Xalvador Mac Kenney in the 64th minute of play. Nauzet Clausen's late challenge caught a VILLANUEVA FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Nauzet Clausen helped the player get up and apologised. DEOXYS F.C.'s Abner Villalobos played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Marcel Blanco in the 67th minute of play. In the 69th minute, Leoncio Baburizza hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by Xalvador Mac Kenney in the 95th minute of play forced DEOXYS F.C.'s goalkeeper Abner Villalobos to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. DEOXYS F.C. had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
