In the 2nd minute, Jorge Vicente Soler got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 5 minutes into the match, Obi Wan Cannabis's goal looked a bit too open when Jorge Vicente Soler came free, but Gaspar Ripamonti reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 11 minutes had been played when some careless play by Obi Wan Cannabis's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Xacobo Barroso was slow to take the kick. During this time VILLANUEVA FC's players had a chance to rest. The corner led VILLANUEVA FC's Xacobo Barroso to fire away a dangerous shot which Gaspar Ripamonti despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Gaspar Ripamonti made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jorge Vicente Soler in the 12th minute of play. In the 15th minute, Teodor Buitrago got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Xalvador Mac Kenney in the 18th minute of play forced Obi Wan Cannabis's goalkeeper Gaspar Ripamonti to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Quentín Dittmann hit a great freekick 19 minutes into the match. Xacobo Barroso took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 19th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Gaspar Ripamonti. Obi Wan Cannabis's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Gaspar Ripamonti showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Xacobo Barroso in the 24th minute of the match. After 25 played minutes Obi Wan Cannabis got a freekick which was hit by Quentín Dittmann. Obi Wan Cannabis's Gaspar Ripamonti played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Xalvador Mac Kenney in the 27th minute of play. Teodor Buitrago struck a weak shot in the 28th minute. Nicodemo Recalde didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Obi Wan Cannabis. In the 30th minute Xacobo Barroso shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gaspar Ripamonti saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Xosé Pasenau hit a great freekick 31 minutes into the match. Jorge Vicente Soler took the ball and in the 36 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Gaspar Ripamonti. Gaspar Ripamonti dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. After a defensive mix-up in Obi Wan Cannabis's zone, Jorge Vicente Soler stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Gaspar Ripamonti came out of the goal and Jorge Vicente Soler tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Xacobo Barroso in the 41st minute of play forced Obi Wan Cannabis's goalkeeper Gaspar Ripamonti to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 42nd minute Xalvador Mac Kenney shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gaspar Ripamonti saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 44th minute Hocine Minh shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nicodemo Recalde saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The supporters of Obi Wan Cannabis booed when VILLANUEVA FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 47 match minutes in a wonderful position. Esteban José Norambuena didn't get a good kick on the ball.
53 minutes into the game, Jorge Vicente Soler cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-3. Gaspar Ripamonti was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Jorge Vicente Soler in the 56th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Gaspar Ripamonti saved Obi Wan Cannabis from getting behind. 58 minutes into the game, Xacobo Barroso recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Gaspar Ripamonti. Xacobo Barroso showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-4. Gaspar Ripamonti made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jorge Vicente Soler in the 64th minute of play. In the 65thth minute of the game Jorge Vicente Soler who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Obi Wan Cannabis's Gaspar Ripamonti was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Obi Wan Cannabis were furious when Víctor Javier Rocha was red carded, 67 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. Gaspar Ripamonti had in the 69thth minute some difficulties stopping Xacobo Barroso's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. In the 69th minute, Gerardo Gazitúa hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Teodor Buitrago fell near the penalty area in the 71st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Obi Wan Cannabis's protests and gave Teodor Buitrago a yellow card for diving instead. Teodor Buitrago kicked well hit freekick during the 74th minute of the match. With a little luck, Obi Wan Cannabis's Gaspar Ripamonti got control of the ball when Xalvador Mac Kenney tried to sneak it across the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Marcel Blanco got free with Gaspar Ripamonti in the 86th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Gaspar Ripamonti made an important save on a dangerous shot by Xalvador Mac Kenney in the 89th minute. The supporters of VILLANUEVA FC booed when Obi Wan Cannabis was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 92 match minutes in a wonderful position. Quentín Dittmann didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 93rd minute Jorge Vicente Soler shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gaspar Ripamonti saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 96th minute, VILLANUEVA FC's Xacobo Barroso ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Gaspar Ripamonti. Gaspar Ripamonti yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 0-5. The VILLANUEVA FC supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing VILLANUEVA FC would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
