The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After some fancy dribbling in the 3rd minute, Abner Orden managed to get in a good position for a shot. Cabildo FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Abner Orden was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Rafael Maria Navarro breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Gugu Tande struck a weak shot in the 7th minute. Patricio Toledo didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Holmes FC. Patricio Toledo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gugu Tande, who was totally free with the ball in the 13th minute. After 14 minutes, Gugu Tande made it 0-1 with a short kick to the right side. Cabildo FC's Patricio Toledo tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Constancio Binder could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 17th minute of the match, but Rafael Maria Navarro made a huge save. 21 minutes into the match, Cabildo FC's goal looked a bit too open when Victoro Collados came free, but Patricio Toledo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Victoro Collados received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 42nd minute. Patricio Toledo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Aaron Erazo charged in rather forcefully in the 43rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Aaron Erazo the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Holmes FC booed when Cabildo FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 44 match minutes in a wonderful position. Aaron Erazo didn't get a good kick on the ball. Abner Orden was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 47th minute. Cabildo FC's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. Disappointed in the 1-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The wind increased when Abner Orden made the kick off in the second half. 52 minutes into the match, Constancio Binder notched a goal, 2-2, to the right of Holmes FC's Rafael Maria Navarro. Rafael Maria Navarro was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Gugu Tande hit a great freekick 56 minutes into the match. The tension between the Holmes FC and the Cabildo FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Rafael Maria Navarro was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Cabildo FC fans cheered their team off the field, for while Holmes FC had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
