But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that José Ignacio Madina couldn't finish the play. Raymundo Carilao fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 22nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Patricio Toledo having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Constancio Binder in the 38th minute of play forced Ornitorrincos F.C.'s goalkeeper Gustaw Pysz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 39th minute, Gabino Calvo got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After a defensive mix-up in Cabildo FC's zone, Gabino Calvo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Patricio Toledo came out of the goal and Gabino Calvo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When the match had gone on for 41 minutes, Gabino Calvo put it in 2-2 from a short distance just to the right of Patricio Toledo. The first half was very even, with the score at 2-2 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.
The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. José Ignacio Madina was the one to do the kick off. 51 minutes into the match, Remicio Bueno dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Gustaw Pysz, 2-3. When the match clock showed 56 minutes, the score became 2-4 when Constancio Binder sped through Ornitorrincos F.C.'s defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Gustaw Pysz. Gabino Calvo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 59th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The supporters of Ornitorrincos F.C. booed when Cabildo FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 60 match minutes in a wonderful position. Abner Orden didn't get a good kick on the ball. Ornitorrincos F.C.'s attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Raymundo Carilao in the 63rd minute. After taking down the ball on Ornitorrincos F.C.'s corner Gabino Calvo fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Patricio Toledo quite easily take care of the ball. 67 minutes into the game, Ornitorrincos F.C.'s Xaime Mac Gill nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Patricio Toledo made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-4. Cabildo FC made a substitution. Tor Clavijo replaced Odón Docal. Xaime Mac Gill fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 72nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Patricio Toledo having to interfere. Patricio Toledo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lester Clavijo in the 80th minute of play. José Ignacio Madina scored 4-4 in the 83rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Patricio Toledo, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Gabino Calvo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 87th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Patricio Toledo having to interfere. The teams fought very hard right up to the final whistle. Both sets of players were happy to go away with a draw.
