Koen Rijmenams showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gustavo Matosas in the 14th minute of the match. When the match clock showed 17 minutes, the score became 1-0 when Fortun Corrillos sped through PEÑAROL ORO Y CARBON's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Cafu Negri. Koen Rijmenams didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Agustín Alvarez went, in the 19th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. Koen Rijmenams stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Marcelo Zalayeta's shot from short distance in the 22nd minute. Cafu Negri made a fantastic save in the 25th minute, when Fortun Corrillos sent off a good shot on target. The supporters of PEÑAROL ORO Y CARBON booed when Oylimpiamos Ψ was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 27 match minutes in a wonderful position. Bidun Deleyto didn't get a good kick on the ball. Lukasz Klucznik, 28 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. Marcelo Zalayeta recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 30th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Fortun Corrillos in the 32nd minute of play forced PEÑAROL ORO Y CARBON's goalkeeper Cafu Negri to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Koen Rijmenams made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Usain Bolt in the 33rd minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Agustín Alvarez in the 34th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Koen Rijmenams prevented the ball from getting in the gole. When the match clock showed 34 minutes, the score became 1-2 when Agustín Alvarez sped through Oylimpiamos Ψ's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Koen Rijmenams. After 45 played minutes Oylimpiamos Ψ got a freekick which was hit by Fortun Corrillos. With a little luck, PEÑAROL ORO Y CARBON's Cafu Negri got control of the ball when Fortun Corrillos tried to sneak it across the goal line.

The wind increased when Bartolo Bachicabo made the kick off in the second half. When Gustavo Matosas came up free with the goalie in the 53rd minute, the PEÑAROL ORO Y CARBON fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Gustavo Matosas couldn't finish the play. After 57 minutes Oylimpiamos Ψ's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Lukasz Klucznik who took care of the corner kick. Cafu Negri showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Bartolo Bachicabo, who was totally free with the ball in the 59th minute. Cafu Negri made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Robustiano Peruanton in the 63rd minute of play. With his leg Koen Rijmenams managed to avoid a goal in the 66thth minute, when PEÑAROL ORO Y CARBON's Marcelo Zalayeta fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. After 77 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Oylimpiamos Ψ! Koen Rijmenams went to the wrong direction when Agustín Alvarez was taking care of the penalty kick which however missed the goal. PEÑAROL ORO Y CARBON made a substitution. Rogelio Cosca replaced Usain Bolt. PEÑAROL ORO Y CARBON's Millrick Portanares was substituted for Torcato Brito. With his leg Koen Rijmenams managed to avoid a goal in the 86thth minute, when PEÑAROL ORO Y CARBON's Rogelio Cosca fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Oylimpiamos Ψ's Koen Rijmenams played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Marcelo Zalayeta in the 88th minute of play. In the 89thth minute of the game Rogelio Cosca who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Oylimpiamos Ψ's Koen Rijmenams was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Rogelio Cosca in the 90thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Koen Rijmenams, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Rogelio Coscas short, quick shot in the 90thth minute got Koen Rijmenams to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. With a little luck, Oylimpiamos Ψ's Koen Rijmenams got control of the ball when Rogelio Cosca tried to sneak it across the goal line. Edgar Rasiak hit a great freekick 93 minutes into the match. After some careless play in the Oylimpiamos Ψ defense, Procopio Mayorga kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Koen Rijmenams. The Oylimpiamos Ψ fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Koen Rijmenams should have stopped the shot. The Oylimpiamos Ψ supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching PEÑAROL ORO Y CARBON's performance. The match ended with a win for PEÑAROL ORO Y CARBON.
