The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Armando Vogrinčič blasted a shot towards the goal in the 12th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Giannis Konstantinou having to make a save. Giannis Konstantinou made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Armando Vogrinčič in the 12th minute of play. Kostja Vertot made an important save on a dangerous shot by Murat Zelenika in the 20th minute. 28 minutes into the match, Fajteri's Armando Vogrinčič sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Giannis Konstantinou narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Kostja Vertot made a fantastic save in the 30th minute, when Murat Zelenika sent off a good shot on target. In the 32nd minute Murat Zelenika shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Kostja Vertot saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Kostja Vertot took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Börge Tidéksson, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Murat Zelenika's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Kostja Vertot read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 43rd minute of play. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Armando Vogrinčič made a kick off. Kostja Vertot took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Fabio Cannata, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Kostja Vertot showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Pat Rice in the 62nd minute of the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 64th minute, Murat Zelenika managed to get in a good position for a shot. Blue Warriors™'s supporters rose to their feet, but Murat Zelenika was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Kostja Vertot breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Kostja Vertot showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Börge Tidéksson in the 66th minute of the match. Kostja Vertot made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Börge Tidéksson in the 69th minute of play. Kostja Vertot stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Börge Tidéksson's shot from short distance in the 72nd minute. In the 74th minute of the match, Feručo Camlek tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Giannis Konstantinou saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Fajteri's Arnulf Vidmar was substituted for Feručo Camlek. Fajteri's Apolonije Podobnik was substituted for Vojteh Pestotnik. Blue Warriors™ made a substitution. Zumbul Nurković replaced Beno Perzivović. Blue Warriors™'s Momo Falah was substituted for Eldar Huseinović. Fajteri made a substitution. Frank Hostar replaced Armando Vogrinčič. 81 minutes into the game, Fajteri's Frank Hostar nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Giannis Konstantinou made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. After some careless play in the Blue Warriors™ defense, Frank Hostar kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Giannis Konstantinou. The Blue Warriors™ fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Giannis Konstantinou should have stopped the shot. The crowd rose to their feet as Fajteri's Frank Hostar slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Giannis Konstantinou. That made the score 0-3 after 89 minutes of play. Kostja Vertot made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Börge Tidéksson in the 93rd minute of play. In the 95th minute Momo Falah shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Kostja Vertot saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When the referee blew the final whistle jeers and boos were heard from the home team's supporters. They were angered to see Blue Warriors™ lose a match they had controlled from the kick-off.
