Marcel Maroević was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. 11 minutes into the game, Blue Warriors™'s Murat Zelenika nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Marcel Maroević made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-4. Balaban Bučan sent away a hard shot on goal in the 14th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After having played for 19 minutes, Murat Zelenika managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Blue Warriors™'s supporters crossed their fingers, but Murat Zelenika was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The audience was convinced that Murat Zelenika's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Marcel Maroević was relentless in the 24th minute of the game. ZG Hakleri's Marcel Maroević played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Murat Zelenika in the 28th minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Murat Zelenika in the 30th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Marcel Maroević prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 32nd minute, Murat Zelenika ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Marcel Maroević was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-7. ZG Hakleri's Marcel Maroević played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Murat Zelenika in the 34th minute of play. Blue Warriors™ were awarded a corner in the 36th minute after ZG Hakleri's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Muzafer Mašić took the corner. The corner led Blue Warriors™'s Muzafer Mašić to fire away a dangerous shot which Marcel Maroević despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. When Pedro Luiz Dantas came up free with the goalie in the 41st minute, the Blue Warriors™ fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Pedro Luiz Dantas couldn't finish the play. In the 44th minute Murat Zelenika shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Marcel Maroević saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Disappointed in the 0-8 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

In the 52nd minute of the match Blue Warriors™ got a corner. ZG Hakleri's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Muzafer Mašić ran over to the corner to take the kick. Börge Tidéksson was in a good position and managed to take a shot, but he missed just to the outside of the post. If Murat Zelenika had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 57th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Marcel Maroević made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Murat Zelenika in the 58th minute of play. Pat Rice blasted a shot towards the goal in the 58th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Marcel Maroević having to make a save. 59 minutes into the game, Murat Zelenika recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Marcel Maroević. Murat Zelenika showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-9. ZG Hakleri's defense didn't have a chance, in the 66th minute, when Murat Zelenika scored to the left of an out of position Marcel Maroević, making the score, 0-10. In the 71st minute, Blue Warriors™'s Murat Zelenika dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 0-11. Marcel Maroević was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 81st minute the ball was on its way in behind ZG Hakleri's goalkeeper Marcel Maroević, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Murat Zelenika did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 0-14 to the left of a surprised Marcel Maroević 83 minutes into the match. If Börge Tidéksson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 85th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 0-16 became the score in the 93rd minute when Murat Zelenika elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. The ZG Hakleri fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Blue Warriors™ were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
