The supporters of Valencia CF Mindszent booed when Bayern München FC. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 8 match minutes in a wonderful position. Richárd Kővári didn't get a good kick on the ball. Valencia CF Mindszent's Rene Higuita played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cyryl Dziurowicz in the 10th minute of play. Richárd Kővári got a throw-in 12 minutes in the game and the ball was received by Csaba Latabár. Gus Wootton fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 13th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rene Higuita having to interfere. When Cyryl Dziurowicz came up free with the goalie in the 19th minute, the Bayern München FC. fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Cyryl Dziurowicz couldn't finish the play. In the 21st match minute, Bayern München FC. was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Richárd Kővári to maneuver through the defense. Rene Higuita showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cyryl Dziurowicz, who was totally free with the ball in the 27th minute. Frankie Majerus got a throw-in 31 minutes in the game and the ball was received by Gus Wootton. After having played for 38 minutes, Cyryl Dziurowicz managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Bayern München FC.'s supporters crossed their fingers, but Cyryl Dziurowicz was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Rene Higuita made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from András Törőcsik in the 42nd minute of play. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

Richárd Kővári made in the 54th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Valencia CF Mindszent's Saltuk Peykan. After a rather tough play, Bayern München FC.'s Gus Wootton got a free kick in the 59th minute. Valencia CF Mindszent made a substitution. Konstantin Fitos replaced Gábor Joó. Valencia CF Mindszent's Adolfo Larrauri was substituted for Marcell Kiss. András Törőcsik hit a great freekick 74 minutes into the match. Péter Kun took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Konstantin Fitos, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 81st minute Konstantin Fitos shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Péter Kun saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 83rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Bayern München FC.'s goalkeeper Péter Kun, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Rene Higuita made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from András Törőcsik in the 86th minute of play. Konstantin Fitos took the ball and in the 93 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Péter Kun. Péter Kun dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-0. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Valencia CF Mindszent had won after a very even match.
