Lajos Domonkos struck a weak shot in the 7th minute. Ottó Szántó didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Szombathely Squirrels. After having played for 11 minutes, Ottó Udvari managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Szombathely Squirrels's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ottó Udvari was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 14 minutes into the match, Szolnoki MÁV's Roland Varga sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Arnold Szuper narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 15th match minute, Szolnoki MÁV was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Patrik Almási to maneuver through the defense. Lajos Domonkos got in the 16th minute a good position and tried a long shot which to a great surprise passed a very astonished Ottó Szántó. This was a shot which ended in a score of 1-0. In the 19thth minute of the game Emesto Muñagorri who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Szombathely Squirrels's Arnold Szuper was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. When Csanád Újvári fell near the penalty area in the 22nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Szolnoki MÁV's protests and gave Csanád Újvári a yellow card for diving instead. In the 23rd minute, Csanád Újvári hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 25th match minute, Szombathely Squirrels was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Arnold Kaiser to maneuver through the defense. Szombathely Squirrels's Arnold Szuper played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Roland Varga in the 27th minute of play. In the 29th match minute, Szolnoki MÁV was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gusztáv Balla to maneuver through the defense. Ottó Szántó made a fantastic save in the 35th minute, when László Szőke sent off a good shot on target. István Végvári's late challenge caught a Szolnoki MÁV's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. István Végvári helped the player get up and apologised. After 39 played minutes Szombathely Squirrels got a freekick which was hit by István Végvári. László Szőke kicked well hit freekick during the 41st minute of the match. In the 42nd minute of the match Tobias Balesio sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Arnold Szuper skillfully saved the ball. Szombathely Squirrels's Arnold Szuper played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Roland Varga in the 44th minute of play. After 45 played minutes Szolnoki MÁV got a freekick which was hit by Tobias Balesio. Ottó Szántó made an important save on a dangerous shot by László Szőke in the 46th minute. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Roland Varga stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. A collision led to Szombathely Squirrels getting a freekick after 52 minutes play. István Végvári hit a great ball. In the 53rd minute of the match Csanád Újvári shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Arnold Szuper showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Arnold Szuper came out of the goal in the 55th minute to try and stop a shot by Szolnoki MÁV's Emesto Muñagorri. But to his dismay, Emesto Muñagorri quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. Szombathely Squirrels's Arnold Szuper played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Roland Varga in the 64th minute of play. A collision led to Szolnoki MÁV getting a freekick after 67 minutes play. Tobias Balesio hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Roland Varga in the 69th minute of play forced Szombathely Squirrels's goalkeeper Arnold Szuper to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 71 minutes into the match, Szombathely Squirrels's goal looked a bit too open when Roland Varga came free, but Arnold Szuper reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Roland Varga in the 75th minute of play forced Szombathely Squirrels's goalkeeper Arnold Szuper to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If László Szőke had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 78th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 89th minute, László Szőke ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Ottó Szántó was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-1. Arnold Szuper came out of the goal in the 95th minute to try and stop a shot by Szolnoki MÁV's Roland Varga. But to his dismay, Roland Varga quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-2. Both teams had looked equal from kick-off, and no-one was surprised when the match finally ended in a draw.
