In the 12th minute, one of Szombathely Squirrels:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Szombathely Squirrels. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Olivér Bagi during the 17th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Olivér Bagi hit a great freekick 18 minutes into the match. Balázs Pálinkás's late challenge caught a TUSE's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Balázs Pálinkás helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Szombathely Squirrels's Balázs Pálinkás got a free kick in the 19th minute. Arnold Szuper made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Olivér Bagi in the 20th minute of play. With a little luck, Szombathely Squirrels's Arnold Szuper got control of the ball when Bertold Gyurkovics tried to sneak it across the goal line. Arnold Szuper took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Bertold Gyurkovics, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Arnold Szuper made a fantastic save in the 27th minute, when Bertold Gyurkovics sent off a good shot on target. Arnold Szuper made an important save on a dangerous shot by Krisztián Bartha in the 33rd minute. 35 minutes into the match, Szombathely Squirrels's goalkeeper Arnold Szuper had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Krisztián Bartha. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 43 minutes into the match, Szombathely Squirrels's goal looked a bit too open when Krisztián Bartha came free, but Arnold Szuper reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Pál Kovács during the 46th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to TUSE getting a freekick after 46 minutes play. Pál Kovács hit a great ball. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Dénes Boross was the one to do the kick off. After 51 minutes of play, TUSE's Géza Tímár made it 3-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Arnold Szuper was left in no man's land by his defense there! 55 minutes into the game, Gusztáv Győrffy was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Szombathely Squirrels's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave TUSE the free kick. Gusztáv Győrffy hit a great freekick 55 minutes into the match. Arnold Szuper stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Krisztián Bartha's shot from short distance in the 60th minute. In the 62nd minute Krisztián Bartha shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Arnold Szuper saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 68 minutes into the match, Szombathely Squirrels's goal looked a bit too open when Géza Tímár came free, but Arnold Szuper reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Arnold Szuper made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Géza Tímár in the 72nd minute of play. Krisztián Bartha took the ball and in the 73 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Arnold Szuper. Arnold Szuper dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 4-0. Arnold Szuper showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Krisztián Bartha in the 77th minute of the match. In the 81st minute Olivér Bagi shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Arnold Szuper saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Arnold Szuper made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Olivér Bagi in the 85th minute of play. In the 89th minute, Krisztián Bartha ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Arnold Szuper was frozen by the shot and now it was 5-0. TUSE's Mátyás Kiss was substituted for Pál Tolnay. An unexpectedly hard shot by Krisztián Bartha in the 94th minute of play forced Szombathely Squirrels's goalkeeper Arnold Szuper to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. TUSE fully deserved thier win.
