An unexpectedly hard shot by József Sallói in the 24th minute of play forced Spartacus FC's goalkeeper Adalberto Barral to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. József Sallói's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 28thth minute, Adalberto Barral skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Adalberto Barral showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from József Sallói, who was totally free with the ball in the 30th minute. After having played for 34 minutes, Edmílson Cearense managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Spartacus FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Edmílson Cearense was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Kornél Hajdú took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Pedro Luís Paranaense, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 40th minute József Sallói shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Adalberto Barral saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 44 minutes had been played when some careless play by Szentgotthárd's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Marcell Tokody was slow to take the kick. During this time Spartacus FC's players had a chance to rest. A nice corner shot did that Marcell Tokody got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Kornél Hajdú quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. After a defensive mix-up in Spartacus FC's zone, József Sallói stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Adalberto Barral came out of the goal and József Sallói tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell József Sallói to make the kick off. Adalberto Barral took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Károly Selymes, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Szentgotthárd's Kornél Hajdú proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 58th minute of the match, managed to save Szentgotthárd from getting a goal against them. After a defensive mix-up in Spartacus FC's zone, József Sallói stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Adalberto Barral came out of the goal and József Sallói tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by József Sallói in the 63rd minute of play forced Spartacus FC's goalkeeper Adalberto Barral to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Spartacus FC's Marcell Tokody got a good chance for a goal in the 64th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Bálint Battai had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 69th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Adalberto Barral took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from József Sallói, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Edmílson Cearense struck a weak shot in the 74th minute. Kornél Hajdú didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Spartacus FC. In the 76th minute the ball was on its way in behind Spartacus FC's goalkeeper Adalberto Barral, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Adalberto Barral didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Pancho Puskás went, in the 78th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-0 was the resulting score. In the 82nd minute József Sallói shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Adalberto Barral saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers József Sallói in the 84th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Adalberto Barral saved Spartacus FC from getting behind. József Sallói received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 85th minute. Adalberto Barral tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 87th minute, Pancho Puskás ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Adalberto Barral was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by József Sallói in the 92nd minute of play forced Spartacus FC's goalkeeper Adalberto Barral to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Spartacus FC's Adalberto Barral played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Pancho Puskás in the 94th minute of play. When the referee ended the match the Szentgotthárd players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
