But to his dismay, József Sallói quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-2. The score stood at 2-2 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. József Sallói was the one to do the kick off. Berni FC's Csaba Végvári quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. After a defensive mix-up in Szentgotthárd's zone, Kálmán Gácsi stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Kornél Hajdú came out of the goal and Kálmán Gácsi tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 87th match minute, Szentgotthárd was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Bálint Benedek to maneuver through the defense. In the 91st minute of the match, Kálmán Gácsi got a very nice opportunity to score, but Kornél Hajdú was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Kálmán Gácsi came free with the goalkeeper in the 91st minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Kornél Hajdú could save by the left post. After 94 minutes, Máté Vass mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Berni FC and the Szentgotthárd players grew even worse after the yellow card. Máté Vass kicked well hit freekick during the 94th minute of the match. When the referee blew the final whistle, you could see the dissatisfaction in the Szentgotthárd players' eyes. They were disappointed they hadn't taken more from the game.
