Duran Ersan could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 3rd minute of the match, but George Buturugã made a huge save. Agah Özver made a great header on Trabzonspor's corner, it was just that LOI's George Buturugã managed to reach the ball for a save. Yunus Civan showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Sulo Montaña, who was totally free with the ball in the 8th minute. Cabbar Dinçay's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Yunus Civan read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 15th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Özgür Özbay in the 16th minute of play forced Trabzonspor's goalkeeper Yunus Civan to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 20 minutes had been played when some careless play by Trabzonspor's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Ahmet Hamdi Ortan was slow to take the kick. During this time LOI's players had a chance to rest. 21 minutes into the match, LOI's Özgür Özbay sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Yunus Civan narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Sulo Montaña in the 23rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Yunus Civan prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 26th minute of the game Buğrahan Uman made a throw-in which Bedrettin Özaktuğ played forward. In the 37th minute Duran Ersan shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but George Buturugã saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Yunus Civan made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sulo Montaña in the 39th minute of play. After 46 minutes of play, Trabzonspor's Agah Özver made it 1-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. George Buturugã was left in no man's land by his defense there! The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

Trabzonspor's Yunus Civan proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 55th minute of the match, managed to save Trabzonspor from getting a goal against them. Yunus Civan made an important save on a dangerous shot by Özgür Özbay in the 60th minute. In the 62nd minute LOI were awarded a corner. Ahmet Hamdi Ortan went to the cornerflag to take it. A collision led to LOI getting a freekick after 62 minutes play. Fetih Avcu hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Özgür Özbay in the 66th minute of play forced Trabzonspor's goalkeeper Yunus Civan to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 69 minutes into the match, LOI's goal looked a bit too open when Bedrettin Özaktuğ came free, but George Buturugã reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Buğrahan Uman hit a great freekick 72 minutes into the match. LOI's Kerimhan Cevher was substituted for Kaan Öztanır. Buğrahan Uman hit a great freekick 73 minutes into the match. Yunus Civan took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Kerimhan Cevher, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 77th minute Fırat Elhan shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but George Buturugã saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Yunus Civan came out of the goal in the 91st minute to try and stop a shot by LOI's Kerimhan Cevher. But to his dismay, Kerimhan Cevher quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. LOI's Tayyip Taylan was substituted for Ahmet Hamdi Ortan. George Buturugã made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bedrettin Özaktuğ in the 95th minute of play. Despite being the better team, LOI failed to find the winning goal and were forced to settle for a single point.
