Geir-Inge von Fraunhofen stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Vinicio Cordeiro's shot from short distance in the 5th minute. Geir-Inge von Fraunhofen came out of the goal in the 8th minute to try and stop a shot by Samsunspor's Ettore Mancinelli. But to his dismay, Ettore Mancinelli quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. Ali Baran Şenel struck a weak shot in the 11th minute. Jardel de Carvalho didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Ⓐⓡⓢⓔⓝⓐⓛ. An unexpectedly hard shot by Vinicio Cordeiro in the 14th minute of play forced Ⓐⓡⓢⓔⓝⓐⓛ's goalkeeper Geir-Inge von Fraunhofen to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Samsunspor's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Vinicio Cordeiro in the 15th minute. The corner ended in Vinicio Cordeiro almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Ⓐⓡⓢⓔⓝⓐⓛ's Geir-Inge von Fraunhofen did a great save. Ali Baran Şenel scored 1-1 in the 18th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Jardel de Carvalho, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Geir-Inge von Fraunhofen made a fantastic save in the 26th minute, when Ulvi Nezir sent off a good shot on target. Ⓐⓡⓢⓔⓝⓐⓛ's Geir-Inge von Fraunhofen played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ettore Mancinelli in the 35th minute of play. Ali Baran Şenel might have been able to make a better finish in the 40th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Jardel de Carvalho. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Ali Baran Şenel ran back to his position shaking his head. Jardel de Carvalho took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ali Baran Şenel, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The audience thought a goal was coming when Ali Baran Şenel got free with Jardel de Carvalho in the 56th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Ali Baran Şenel received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 57th minute. Jardel de Carvalho tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Geir-Inge von Fraunhofen showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Vinicio Cordeiro, who was totally free with the ball in the 60th minute. Geir-Inge von Fraunhofen made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Efekan Ballıoğlu in the 63rd minute of play. 65 minutes into the game, Turabi Şahsuvaroğlu threw the ball into play from the sideline. Ⓐⓡⓢⓔⓝⓐⓛ's Raik Memduh quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. Jardel de Carvalho made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Silvio Luzaide in the 69th minute of play. Ali Baran Şenel could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 71st minute of the match, but Jardel de Carvalho made a huge save. Samsunspor made a substitution. Güral Vecih replaced Cenap Sarıcabay. Ⓐⓡⓢⓔⓝⓐⓛ made a substitution. Mustafa Ekrem Yiğit replaced Abdulkerim Ulağ. 77 minutes in the game Turabi Şahsuvaroğlu did a throw-in, and the ball was quickly in game thanks to Efekan Ballıoğlu. An unexpectedly hard shot by Silvio Luzaide in the 79th minute of play forced Samsunspor's goalkeeper Jardel de Carvalho to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 82 played minutes Ⓐⓡⓢⓔⓝⓐⓛ got a freekick which was hit by Silvio Luzaide. Vinicio Cordeiro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 83rd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Talat Çetinay hit a great freekick 86 minutes into the match. Geir-Inge von Fraunhofen showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Vinicio Cordeiro in the 89th minute of the match. Ali Baran Şenel could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 93rd minute of the match, but Jardel de Carvalho made a huge save. In the 95th minute, Ulvi Nezir ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Geir-Inge von Fraunhofen was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-1. There was no doubt that Samsunspor were the better team. Samsunspor's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
