Nihat İlsak made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mustafa Hamit Afgan in the 12th minute of play. 14 minutes into the match, ☆☆Pαbɭó Escóbαr☆☆'s goalkeeper Tony Schumacher had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Lokman Sağlamtürk. Bünyamin Uğursay tried to clear up in front of the goal, but didn't succeed and rather the ball rolled into the own goal to the right of a despaired Tony Schumacher. An unnecessary self made goal, 1-0 in the 15th minute. Mustafa Hamit Afgan sent away a hard shot on goal in the 18th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Nihat İlsak showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Mustafa Hamit Afgan, who was totally free with the ball in the 18th minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Alptuğ Behram got free with Tony Schumacher in the 19th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Lokman Sağlamtürk during the 22nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of ☆☆Pαbɭó Escóbαr☆☆ booed when Newells Old Boys was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 22 match minutes in a wonderful position. Lokman Sağlamtürk didn't get a good kick on the ball. Tony Schumacher took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Kenny N'Diaye, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Zikri Temizcan in the 47th minute of play forced ☆☆Pαbɭó Escóbαr☆☆'s goalkeeper Tony Schumacher to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Kenny N'Diaye stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 52nd minute, Lokman Sağlamtürk left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. Nihat İlsak was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Mustafa Hamit Afgan showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 6-2 in the 95 minute of play. Newells Old Boys's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
