Kenny N'Diaye scored 1-0 in the 8th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Ziya Temizsoy, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Nihat İlsak showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Derviş Korcan in the 15th minute of the match. Ziya Temizsoy was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Lokman Sağlamtürk showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 2-0 in the 17 minute of play. After having played for 20 minutes, Lokman Sağlamtürk managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Newells Old Boys's supporters crossed their fingers, but Lokman Sağlamtürk was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Ziya Temizsoy took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Kenny N'Diaye, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Lokman Sağlamtürk came up free with the goalie in the 24th minute, the Newells Old Boys fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Lokman Sağlamtürk couldn't finish the play. Kenny N'Diaye was extremely unlucky when he, in the 26th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. When the match had gone on for 29 minutes, Kenny N'Diaye took a quick shot and it went in 4-0 without a chance for Ziya Temizsoy to make any attempt to save it. Zikri Temizcan sent away a hard shot on goal in the 36th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. K.u.R.aL.S.ı.Z's Ziya Temizsoy played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Zikri Temizcan in the 39th minute of play. In the 41st minute of the match Newells Old Boys got a corner. K.u.R.aL.S.ı.Z's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Alptuğ Behram ran over to the corner to take the kick. The goalkeeper smacked the ball away after a great corner, but Lokman Sağlamtürk advanced and headed the ball into goal, 5-0 in the 42nd minute. Zikri Temizcan fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 45th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ziya Temizsoy having to interfere. The audience was convinced that Kenny N'Diaye's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Ziya Temizsoy was relentless in the 47th minute of the game. Af the end of the first half the score was 5-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

If Lokman Sağlamtürk had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 53rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 53rd minute the ball was on its way in behind K.u.R.aL.S.ı.Z's goalkeeper Ziya Temizsoy, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. When the match had gone on for 56 minutes, Lokman Sağlamtürk put it in 7-0 from a short distance just to the right of Ziya Temizsoy. İbrahim Kayrar kicked well hit freekick during the 59th minute of the match. After 60 minutes of play, Newells Old Boys's Kenny N'Diaye made it 8-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Ziya Temizsoy was left in no man's land by his defense there! After some fancy dribbling in the 63rd minute, Lokman Sağlamtürk managed to get in a good position for a shot. Newells Old Boys's supporters rose to their feet, but Lokman Sağlamtürk was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ziya Temizsoy breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Zikri Temizcan blasted a shot towards the goal in the 65th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Ziya Temizsoy having to make a save. Newells Old Boys's Lokman Sağlamtürk got a good chance for a goal in the 69th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Ziya Temizsoy made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Kenny N'Diaye in the 70th minute of play. If Lokman Sağlamtürk had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 76th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a defensive mix-up in K.u.R.aL.S.ı.Z's zone, Lokman Sağlamtürk stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ziya Temizsoy came out of the goal and Lokman Sağlamtürk tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After some careless play in the K.u.R.aL.S.ı.Z defense, Kenny N'Diaye kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Ziya Temizsoy. The K.u.R.aL.S.ı.Z fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Ziya Temizsoy should have stopped the shot. Lokman Sağlamtürk struck a weak shot in the 91st minute. Ziya Temizsoy didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Newells Old Boys. Lokman Sağlamtürk fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 95th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ziya Temizsoy having to interfere. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Newells Old Boys fans cheered their team off the field, for while K.u.R.aL.S.ı.Z had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
