The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Sezai Yura came out of the goal in the 4th minute to try and stop a shot by 1stanbuL FootbaLL CluB's Levan Dost. But to his dismay, Levan Dost quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. A collision led to 1stanbuL FootbaLL CluB getting a freekick after 6 minutes play. Güntekin Koca hit a great ball. Lokomotiv Bornova's Sezai Yura proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 10th minute of the match, managed to save Lokomotiv Bornova from getting a goal against them. Sezai Yura showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Levan Dost in the 16th minute of the match. 19 minutes into the game, Germanas Judeikis cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-1. Farid Mondragon was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 22nd minute Germanas Judeikis shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Farid Mondragon saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Lokomotiv Bornova's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Ahmet Korcan Gökalp in the 25th minute. The corner first didn't look so dangerous but when Germanas Judeikis got the ball he succeeded in some way to get through the defenders to deliver a very hard score. Result 1-2. 25 minutes into the match. In the 29th match minute, Lokomotiv Bornova was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cristian-Ezequiel Beckham Jr to maneuver through the defense. Through an outstanding action, after 32 minutes, Sezai Yura successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Germanas Judeikis took the ball and in the 33 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Farid Mondragon. Farid Mondragon dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-3. The audience thought a goal was coming when Leonides Xacintu got free with Sezai Yura in the 37th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Cristian-Ezequiel Beckham Jr's late challenge caught a 1stanbuL FootbaLL CluB's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Cristian-Ezequiel Beckham Jr helped the player get up and apologised. After 45 played minutes Lokomotiv Bornova got a freekick which was hit by Cristian-Ezequiel Beckham Jr. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 1-3 lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Germanas Judeikis made a kick off. It was a well-played corner which Alp Eren managed to volley towards the net. Unfortunately, he didn't get a great hit on the ball and it went out into the grandstand. A collision led to Lokomotiv Bornova getting a freekick after 56 minutes play. Cristian-Ezequiel Beckham Jr hit a great ball. If Germanas Judeikis had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 58th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 1stanbuL FootbaLL CluB's Farid Mondragon proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 58th minute of the match, managed to save 1stanbuL FootbaLL CluB from getting a goal against them. In the 62nd minute of the game Cristian-Ezequiel Beckham Jr made a throw-in which Germanas Judeikis played forward. After a defensive mix-up in 1stanbuL FootbaLL CluB's zone, Germanas Judeikis stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Farid Mondragon came out of the goal and Germanas Judeikis tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Germanas Judeikis had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 70th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Sezai Yura made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Leonides Xacintu in the 74th minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Germanas Judeikis in the 78th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Farid Mondragon saved 1stanbuL FootbaLL CluB from getting behind. Sezai Yura stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Leonides Xacintu's shot from short distance in the 81st minute. 83 minutes into the match, Lokomotiv Bornova's goal looked a bit too open when Leonides Xacintu came free, but Sezai Yura reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 94th minute Germanas Judeikis shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Farid Mondragon saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The supporters of Lokomotiv Bornova booed when 1stanbuL FootbaLL CluB was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 96 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jacobo Refugio didn't get a good kick on the ball. 1stanbuL FootbaLL CluB made a substitution. Ferhan Saik replaced Cihangir Türkol. After a rather tough play, 1stanbuL FootbaLL CluB's Jacobo Refugio got a free kick in the 98th minute. The Lokomotiv Bornova supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Lokomotiv Bornova would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
