An unexpectedly hard shot by Furkan Erbay in the 40th minute of play forced Senator S.A.K's goalkeeper Edvin van der Sar to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The attack was good, but when Sancarbey Çinuçin in the 42nd minute was about to shoot he didn't kick quite good enough and the ball went high over goal. Edvin van der Sar showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tolunay Eryiğit, who was totally free with the ball in the 44th minute. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Sílvio Luís Nogueira was the one to do the kick off. Edvin van der Sar made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Furkan Erbay in the 64th minute of play. Furkan Erbay might have been able to make a better finish in the 75th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Edvin van der Sar. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Furkan Erbay ran back to his position shaking his head.
