Su Čuk received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 40th minute. Edvin van der Sar tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Edvin van der Sar took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Yağızhan Yurdaşen, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Su Čuk was the one to do the kick off. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 86th minute of the game. One of Senator S.A.K:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Palestine - Beşikdüzü TS:s goal. Edvin van der Sar showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Su Čuk in the 90th minute of the match. In the 93rd minute Su Čuk shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Edvin van der Sar saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Su Čuk sent away a hard shot on goal in the 96th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Senator S.A.K's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
