C.'s Alfredinho Freitas nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Robert Vassenius made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. 36 minutes into the match, SORRISO E. C.'s goal looked a bit too open when Jurand Deput came free, but Edvaldo Leal reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Robert Vassenius showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alfredinho Freitas in the 38th minute of the match. The supporters of RB Chubut booed when SORRISO E. C. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 43 match minutes in a wonderful position. Frederico Gomes didn't get a good kick on the ball. Jurand Deput's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Edvaldo Leal read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 45th minute of play.
