After a defensive mix-up in Unicorns ™'s zone, Christian Håkansson stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Corneliu Vulpăşin came out of the goal and Christian Håkansson tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Degerfors IF's Tuncay Cansever got a good chance for a goal in the 12th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. With an all-out effort, Degerfors IF's Corneliu Vulpăşin threw himself towards the right post 19 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Tuncay Cansever, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. With a little luck, Unicorns ™'s Corneliu Vulpăşin got control of the ball when Tuncay Cansever tried to sneak it across the goal line. Tuncay Cansever might have been able to make a better finish in the 23rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Corneliu Vulpăşin. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Tuncay Cansever ran back to his position shaking his head. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tuncay Cansever in the 23rd minute of play forced Unicorns ™'s goalkeeper Corneliu Vulpăşin to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 24th minute the ball was on its way in behind Unicorns ™'s goalkeeper Corneliu Vulpăşin, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Tuncay Cansever sent away a hard shot on goal in the 29th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 29th minute of the match, Tuncay Cansever tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Corneliu Vulpăşin saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Corneliu Vulpăşin made an important save on a dangerous shot by Tuncay Cansever in the 30th minute. 32 minutes into the match, Degerfors IF's Tuncay Cansever sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Corneliu Vulpăşin narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The supporters of Degerfors IF booed when Unicorns ™ was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 33 match minutes in a wonderful position. Mugur Siniştean didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 36th minute Tuncay Cansever shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Corneliu Vulpăşin saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 39th minute of the match Degerfors IF got a corner. Unicorns ™'s goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. The corner ended in Christian Håkansson almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Unicorns ™'s Corneliu Vulpăşin did a great save. 42 minutes into the match, Unicorns ™'s goal looked a bit too open when Tuncay Cansever came free, but Corneliu Vulpăşin reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Tudor Bodea fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 44th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Håkan Söderberg having to interfere. Corneliu Vulpăşin dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-0. Corneliu Vulpăşin showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tuncay Cansever in the 75th minute of the match. Tuncay Cansever recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 80th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Tuncay Cansever in the 86th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Corneliu Vulpăşin saved Unicorns ™ from getting behind. Degerfors IF's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Witold Serwacki in the 87th minute. Rareș Papadima's late challenge caught a Degerfors IF's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Rareș Papadima helped the player get up and apologised. After 89 played minutes Unicorns ™ got a freekick which was hit by Rareș Papadima. After some fancy dribbling in the 91st minute, Tuncay Cansever managed to get in a good position for a shot. Degerfors IF's supporters rose to their feet, but Tuncay Cansever was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Corneliu Vulpăşin breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Philip Kihlman hit a great freekick 95 minutes into the match. When the referee ended the match the Degerfors IF players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
