An unexpectedly hard shot by Golo Oolo in the 6th minute of play forced Coritiba Foot Ball Club's goalkeeper Gery Pattimura to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Coritiba Foot Ball Club's zone, Gabriele Koffidis stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Gery Pattimura came out of the goal and Gabriele Koffidis tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After some careless play in the Coritiba Foot Ball Club defense, Golo Oolo kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Gery Pattimura. The Coritiba Foot Ball Club fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Gery Pattimura should have stopped the shot. Coritiba Foot Ball Club's Gery Pattimura played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Golo Oolo in the 14th minute of play. After 16 minutes, Golo Oolo made it 0-2 with a short kick to the right side. Coritiba Foot Ball Club's Gery Pattimura tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Nicolas Valentini kicked well hit freekick during the 23rd minute of the match. Gery Pattimura didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Het Koffiehuis. The audience was convinced that Gabriele Koffidis's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Gery Pattimura was relentless in the 38th minute of the game. Golo Oolo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 40th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Rodrigo Garro to make the kick off. 胡亦旭 sent away a hard shot on goal in the 51st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Christian Chivu during the 54th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card.
