In the 13th minute Santa Clausius shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Santo Shantala saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Santo Shantala made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bruno Lenzi in the 15th minute of play. Carlos Platon fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 51st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Angelo Bertoni having to interfere. Santo Shantala made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bruno Lenzi in the 60th minute of play. Santa Clausius received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Santo Shantala came out and tried to block the shot, but Santa Clausius slotted it home off the left post making it 1-1 in the 64th minute. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Richard Laws couldn't finish the play.
