When Arnulfo Mundo came up free with the goalie in the 9th minute, the El Renacer del Quijano FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Arnulfo Mundo couldn't finish the play. Tim Wiese made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Arnulfo Mundo in the 14th minute of play. After 15 minutes, Emanuel Schrappe mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the SV Bad Harzburg and the El Renacer del Quijano FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Tim Wiese showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Narciso Francho in the 17th minute of the match. The audience was convinced that Arnulfo Mundo's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Tim Wiese was relentless in the 18th minute of the game. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Arnulfo Mundo stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Eustaquio Elivareo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from John Rambo in the 52nd minute of play. Arnulfo Mundo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 56th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. El Renacer del Quijano FC's Victoriano Tibalt was substituted for Natalio Hulberto. After a defensive mix-up in SV Bad Harzburg's zone, Arnulfo Mundo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Tim Wiese came out of the goal and Arnulfo Mundo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Eckard Döngelli in the 66th minute of play forced El Renacer del Quijano FC's goalkeeper Eustaquio Elivareo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Virgilio Chumo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 92nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Arnulfo Mundo in the 94th minute of play forced SV Bad Harzburg's goalkeeper Tim Wiese to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When the referee blew the final whistle, you could see the dissatisfaction in the El Renacer del Quijano FC players' eyes. They were disappointed they hadn't taken more from the game.
