Spectators: 41 (Terracing: 32, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Eckard Döngelli started the match with the kick off. The audience thought a goal was coming when Maik Schmeltzer got free with Jan-Joost Smeekes in the 4th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Harm Meinders was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 6 minutes into the match. In the 11th minute John Rambo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jan-Joost Smeekes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 14th minute, SV Bad Harzburg's Eckard Döngelli ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Jan-Joost Smeekes. Jan-Joost Smeekes yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 2-0. In the 17th minute of the match, Takeshi Bartkowiak got a very nice opportunity to score, but Jan-Joost Smeekes was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Eckard Döngelli came free with the goalkeeper in the 18th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Jan-Joost Smeekes could save by the left post. Seagulls's Jan-Joost Smeekes proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 22nd minute of the match, managed to save Seagulls from getting a goal against them. SV Bad Harzburg's Tim Wiese played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ralf Talsma in the 23rd minute of play. When the match had gone on for 26 minutes, Marc Richter took a quick shot and it went in 3-0 without a chance for Jan-Joost Smeekes to make any attempt to save it. Jan-Joost Smeekes took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from John Rambo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 31st minute Martin Andriessen shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tim Wiese saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 32 minutes into the match, Seagulls's goalkeeper Jan-Joost Smeekes had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by John Rambo. The supporters of Seagulls booed when SV Bad Harzburg was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 33 match minutes in a wonderful position. Emanuel Schrappe didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 34th minute of the match Floris Stühling shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Tim Wiese showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. 35 minutes into the game, Marc Richter cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 4-0. Jan-Joost Smeekes was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. If John Rambo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 38th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 41st minute, SV Bad Harzburg's John Rambo dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 5-0.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Ralf Talsma to make the kick off. Maik Schmeltzer succeeded in the game's 53rd minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 6-0. Marc Richter fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 56th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jan-Joost Smeekes having to interfere. When Gerben Klein fell near the penalty area in the 57th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Seagulls's protests and gave Gerben Klein a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of SV Bad Harzburg booed when Seagulls was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 57 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gerben Klein didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 58th minute Klaus Vielhaus shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jan-Joost Smeekes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 60 minutes into the game, SV Bad Harzburg's Marc Richter nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Jan-Joost Smeekes made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 7-0. After a rather tough play, Seagulls's Carsten Klaasens got a free kick in the 66th minute. Jan-Joost Smeekes made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Marc Richter in the 69th minute of play. After 71 minutes Seagulls's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Klaus Vielhaus who took care of the corner kick. The corner ended in Klaus Vielhaus almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Seagulls's Jan-Joost Smeekes did a great save. In a very dangerous position, a player in SV Bad Harzburg fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 77th minute. Penalty! Floris Stühling walked up to take care of the penalty kick. He was aiming for the top corner, but the ball went just outside the post. A collision led to SV Bad Harzburg getting a freekick after 79 minutes play. Eckard Döngelli hit a great ball. In the 82nd match minute, SV Bad Harzburg was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Klaus Vielhaus to maneuver through the defense. Jan-Joost Smeekes showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from John Rambo, who was totally free with the ball in the 86th minute. A collision led to Seagulls getting a freekick after 87 minutes play. Floris Stühling hit a great ball. Marc Richter scored 8-0 in the 89th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Jan-Joost Smeekes, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Eckard Döngelli scored 9-0 in the 95th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Jan-Joost Smeekes, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. SV Bad Harzburg had won after a very even match.
