Spectators: 40 (Terracing: 31, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Ralf Talsma kicked off to start the match. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Martin Andriessen during the 3rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to Seagulls getting a freekick after 3 minutes play. Martin Andriessen hit a great ball. SV Bad Harzburg's Eugen Boedefeld couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 4th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Seagulls. Jan-Joost Smeekes showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Halldor Sönksen in the 9th minute of the match. 10 minutes into the game, SV Bad Harzburg's Eckard Döngelli nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Jan-Joost Smeekes made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. Jan-Joost Smeekes took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Halldor Sönksen, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 15 minutes of play, SV Bad Harzburg's Halldor Sönksen made it 0-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Jan-Joost Smeekes was left in no man's land by his defense there! Jan-Joost Smeekes took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Eckard Döngelli, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 26th match minute, Seagulls was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gerald Langenbach to maneuver through the defense. Eugen Boedefeld struck a weak shot in the 28th minute. Jan-Joost Smeekes didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for SV Bad Harzburg. 31 minutes into the match, Eckard Döngelli had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Jan-Joost Smeekes. Seagulls's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Eckard Döngelli was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-3. Eckard Döngelli hit a great freekick 33 minutes into the match. In the 35th minute, Martin Andriessen hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Jan-Joost Smeekes took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Halldor Sönksen, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 39 minutes into the match, Seagulls's goal looked a bit too open when Eckard Döngelli came free, but Jan-Joost Smeekes reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Jan-Joost Smeekes showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Marc Richter, who was totally free with the ball in the 40th minute. After the first half SV Bad Harzburg were leading 0-4. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Eckard Döngelli could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 51st minute of the match, but Jan-Joost Smeekes made a huge save. After 52 minutes, Eckard Döngelli made it 0-5 with a short kick to the right side. Seagulls's Jan-Joost Smeekes tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Jan-Joost Smeekes made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Eckard Döngelli in the 59th minute of play. Eckard Döngelli could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 61st minute of the match, but Jan-Joost Smeekes made a huge save. With a little luck, Seagulls's Jan-Joost Smeekes got control of the ball when Halldor Sönksen tried to sneak it across the goal line. Jan-Joost Smeekes took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Eckard Döngelli, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 66th minute, Eckard Döngelli ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Jan-Joost Smeekes was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-6. 70 minutes into the game, Halldor Sönksen recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Jan-Joost Smeekes. Halldor Sönksen showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-7. After 73 played minutes Marc Richter rounded Seagulls's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 0-8. After a defensive mix-up in Seagulls's zone, Marc Richter stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jan-Joost Smeekes came out of the goal and Marc Richter tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Jan-Joost Smeekes made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Eckard Döngelli in the 77th minute of play. Eugen Boedefeld charged in rather forcefully in the 77th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Eugen Boedefeld the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 81st minute Eckard Döngelli shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jan-Joost Smeekes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 84 minutes into the game, Gerald Langenbach was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Seagulls's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave SV Bad Harzburg the free kick. After a rather tough play, Seagulls's Gerald Langenbach got a free kick in the 84th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Eckard Döngelli in the 87th minute of play forced Seagulls's goalkeeper Jan-Joost Smeekes to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Jan-Joost Smeekes was a little too slow when Marc Richter got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 89th minute. The score was now 0-9. Seagulls's Jan-Joost Smeekes played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Marc Richter in the 92nd minute of play. Jan-Joost Smeekes made an important save on a dangerous shot by Halldor Sönksen in the 93rd minute. SV Bad Harzburg's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
