Natalio Mitxaut took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Sergiu Costa, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. SAN LORENZO FC's Aristides Castel got a good chance for a goal in the 19th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The supporters of SAN LORENZO FC booed when MIT was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 20 match minutes in a wonderful position. Dacian Corbu didn't get a good kick on the ball. A collision led to MIT getting a freekick after 30 minutes play. Sever Dobrescu hit a great ball. If Aristides Castel had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 39th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Jorge Rinaldi hit a great freekick 40 minutes into the match. Dacian Corbu kicked well hit freekick during the 46th minute of the match.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Aristides Castel stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. 53 minutes into the game, Petre Prislop was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. MIT's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave SAN LORENZO FC the free kick. In the 53rd match minute, MIT was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Petre Prislop to maneuver through the defense. 57 minutes in the game, Aristides Castel fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Vitko Vutev having to interfere. Aristides Castel could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 73rd minute of the match, but Vitko Vutev made a huge save. 75 minutes into the game, Sabin Eniceicu threw the ball into play from the sideline.
