Spectators: 47 (Terracing: 36, Seating: 11, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Joona Rosenqvist kicked off to start the match. When the match clock showed 6 minutes, the score became 1-0 when Leontin Iacobescu sped through Karhulan Veikot's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Reijo Ilola. After 9 minutes, Leontin Iacobescu mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the MIT and the Karhulan Veikot players grew even worse after the yellow card. If Joona Rosenqvist had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 15th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 17th minute Leontin Iacobescu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Reijo Ilola saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 18th minute, Leontin Iacobescu left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The MIT fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-0. In the 20th minute, Valer Papadima hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The audience thought a goal was coming when Leontin Iacobescu got free with Reijo Ilola in the 24th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Reijo Ilola made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Leontin Iacobescu in the 32nd minute of play. 34 minutes into the game, Cristi Foltea was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. MIT's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Karhulan Veikot the free kick. A collision led to MIT getting a freekick after 34 minutes play. Cristi Foltea hit a great ball. After 37 minutes, Valentin Uusiniemi mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Karhulan Veikot and the MIT players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 37 played minutes Karhulan Veikot got a freekick which was hit by Valentin Uusiniemi. 40 minutes into the match, Leontin Iacobescu had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Reijo Ilola. Karhulan Veikot's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Leontin Iacobescu was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-0. Af the end of the first half the score was 4-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

After 51 minutes of play, MIT's Leontin Iacobescu made it 5-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Reijo Ilola was left in no man's land by his defense there! Leontin Iacobescu blasted a shot towards the goal in the 56th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Reijo Ilola having to make a save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Leontin Iacobescu in the 56th minute of play forced Karhulan Veikot's goalkeeper Reijo Ilola to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 58 minutes into the game, MIT's Leontin Iacobescu nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Reijo Ilola made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 6-0. After some careless play in the Karhulan Veikot defense, Leontin Iacobescu kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Reijo Ilola. The Karhulan Veikot fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Reijo Ilola should have stopped the shot. Leontin Iacobescu's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Reijo Ilola read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 77th minute of play. In the 81st minute, Leontin Iacobescu left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The MIT fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 8-0. MIT's Sergiu Costa was substituted for Emil Glodeanu. When Leontin Iacobescu came up free with the goalie in the 94th minute, the MIT fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Leontin Iacobescu couldn't finish the play. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The MIT fans cheered their team off the field, for while Karhulan Veikot had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
