Amadeo Tuste showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 3-0. When the match had gone on for 42 minutes, Nilton Soeiro took a quick shot and it went in 4-0 without a chance for Cyryl Brzonkala to make any attempt to save it. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 4-0 at half-time.

Palmeiras made a substitution. Toninho Prestes replaced Dagoberto Moura. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Ksawery Ikalewicz made a kick off. Cyryl Brzonkala stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Amadeo Tuste's shot from short distance in the 95th minute.
