The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Andrez Widdepenninck made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ronny Skott in the 6th minute of play. It was Dany-Adams Van Halssbeeck who took care of the corner kick. A nice corner shot did that Dany-Adams Van Halssbeeck got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Ove Trillkott quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Wiktor Löfkvist received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 14th minute. Andrez Widdepenninck tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The audience thought a goal was coming when Emanuel Snell got free with Andrez Widdepenninck in the 15th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Andrez Widdepenninck stood somewhat misplaced when Ronny Skott came free in front of goal and shot 1-0 to the left of him in the 15 minute. Mark Heijligem hit a great freekick 18 minutes into the match. A collision led to Limburg United getting a freekick after 22 minutes play. Dany-Adams Van Halssbeeck hit a great ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Ronny Skott in the 28th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Andrez Widdepenninck saved Limburg United from getting behind. After 29 minutes Limburg United's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Peder Tönnberg who took care of the corner kick. After having played for 39 minutes, Per-Arne Barck managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ronnys Lärjungar's supporters crossed their fingers, but Per-Arne Barck was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Ove Trillkott took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Simon Du Sausois, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Kåre Mattsson lost his temper 46 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. In a very dangerous position, a player in Ronnys Lärjungar fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 45th minute. Penalty! The referee gave Limburg United a penalty, 47 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Dany-Adams Van Halssbeeck, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Ronnys Lärjungar's Ove Trillkott. 2-1. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The wind increased when Simon Du Sausois made the kick off in the second half. Andrez Widdepenninck showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ronny Skott in the 56th minute of the match. Ronnys Lärjungar made a substitution. Ronnys Lärjungar's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Limburg United the free kick. An unexpectedly hard shot by Simon Du Sausois in the 75th minute of play forced Ronnys Lärjungar's goalkeeper Ove Trillkott to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Limburg United's Andrez Widdepenninck played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ronny Skott in the 77th minute of play. When the match had gone on for 78 minutes, Dany-Adams Van Halssbeeck put it in 2-2 from a short distance just to the right of Ove Trillkott. Ove Trillkott made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Simon Du Sausois in the 81st minute of play. After 87 minutes, Henri-Xavier Van Der Talen mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Limburg United and the Ronnys Lärjungar players grew even worse after the yellow card. Ove Trillkott yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 2-3. The Ronnys Lärjungar supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Limburg United's performance. The match ended with a win for Limburg United.
