When Jonathan Vie came up free with the goalie in the 2nd minute, the Åsnes fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Jonathan Vie couldn't finish the play. If Roman Bide had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 4th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 7 minutes, Arnold Butter mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Ronnys Lärjungar and the Åsnes players grew even worse after the yellow card. Åsnes made a substitution. Kristian Sandersen replaced Jonathan Vie. A collision led to Ronnys Lärjungar getting a freekick after 8 minutes play. Arnold Butter hit a great ball. Ove Trillkott made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Kim Alnes in the 9th minute of play. Ove Trillkott made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Kristian Sandersen in the 12th minute of play. The supporters of Ronnys Lärjungar booed when Åsnes was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 14 match minutes in a wonderful position. Kristian Sandersen didn't get a good kick on the ball. Ronny Skott took the ball and in the 16 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Sturle Åsland. Sturle Åsland dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. The supporters of Ronnys Lärjungar booed when Åsnes was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 21 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jon-Inge Nysæter didn't get a good kick on the ball. Ray Man hit a great freekick 24 minutes into the match. Sturle Åsland showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Emanuel Snell in the 27th minute of the match. 29 minutes in the game, Kristian Sandersen fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Ove Trillkott having to interfere. 34 minutes into the match, Ronnys Lärjungar's goal looked a bit too open when Kristian Sandersen came free, but Ove Trillkott reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Sturle Åsland took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ronny Skott, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The wind increased when Kristian Sandersen made the kick off in the second half. When Kim Alnes came up free with the goalie in the 51st minute, the Åsnes fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Kim Alnes couldn't finish the play. In the 52nd match minute, Ronnys Lärjungar was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Emanuel Snell to maneuver through the defense. In the 56th minute, Emanuel Snell reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Sturle Åsland. The goal made the score 0-2. Ronnys Lärjungar's Bengt-Åke Clementsson was substituted for Peder Tönnberg. 62 minutes into the match, Roman Bide had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Ove Trillkott. Ronnys Lärjungar's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Roman Bide was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-2. The audience thought a goal was coming when Ronny Skott got free with Sturle Åsland in the 80th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. With 86 minutes on the clock, Kåre Mattsson commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. In the 86th minute, one of Ronnys Lärjungar:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Ronnys Lärjungar. In the 88th minute there was a penalty for Åsnes. Ray Man stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Ove Trillkott. 2-2. An unexpectedly hard shot by Aleksander Ånestad in the 92nd minute of play forced Ronnys Lärjungar's goalkeeper Ove Trillkott to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Despite being the better team, Ronnys Lärjungar failed to find the winning goal and were forced to settle for a single point.
