Gabriel Turi fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 12th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Constantino Modestio having to interfere. A throw-in in the 14th minute of the game was made by Gervasio Sayveon with David Tiniebra as target, who quickly passed the ball forward. Tautvydas Mickevičius showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tadeo Eztebe in the 15th minute of the match. After a rather tough play, ESTUDIANTES de la PLATA's Constantino Quinton got a free kick in the 16th minute. 18 minutes into the match, Fabrício Mesquita dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Constantino Modestio, 1-0. In the 23rd minute David Tiniebra shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tautvydas Mickevičius saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The 0 descensos fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Constantino Modestio should have stopped the shot. The supporters of 0 descensos booed when ESTUDIANTES de la PLATA was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 34 match minutes in a wonderful position. Celestino Selmo didn't get a good kick on the ball. 37 minutes into the match, Fabrício Mesquita notched a goal, 3-0, to the right of 0 descensos's Constantino Modestio. Constantino Modestio was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 3-0.

After 68 played minutes 0 descensos got a freekick which was hit by Gervasio Sayveon. Gervasio Sayveon made in the 73rd minute of the game a quick throw-in and David Tiniebra immediately put the ball in play. 77 minutes into the match, ESTUDIANTES de la PLATA's goal looked a bit too open when David Tiniebra came free, but Tautvydas Mickevičius reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Tadeo Eztebe hit a great freekick 83 minutes into the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 89th minute, Fabrício Mesquita managed to get in a good position for a shot. ESTUDIANTES de la PLATA's supporters rose to their feet, but Fabrício Mesquita was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Constantino Modestio breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 0 descensos's supporters were dissatisfied at the end of the match because ESTUDIANTES de la PLATA had won, even though 0 descensos had held more of the ball.
