Venancio Hodei breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Venancio Hodei took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Alexandre Vale, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Venancio Hodei stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Alexandre Vale's shot from short distance in the 14th minute. Joel Maciel made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gustavo Goito in the 16th minute of play. Joel Maciel took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Alfonso Palban, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The audience was convinced that Elias Garikoitz's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Venancio Hodei was relentless in the 24th minute of the game. Moises Napier received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 28th minute. Joel Maciel tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Alexandre Vale made a kick off. Venancio Hodei showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Elias Garikoitz in the 52nd minute of the match. With a little luck, Garanhão do SUL's Joel Maciel got control of the ball when Alfonso Palban tried to sneak it across the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Alfonso Palban got free with Joel Maciel in the 57th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 68th minute, Tarcísio Palha hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 69th minute, Franja Dorada's Gustavo Goito ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Joel Maciel. Joel Maciel yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 3-2. In the 79th minute, Elias Garikoitz left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Garanhão do SUL fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 4-3. Venancio Hodei showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Benigno Jesco in the 91st minute of the match. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Garanhão do SUL fans cheered their team off the field, for while Franja Dorada had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
