After having played for 6 minutes, Jailson de Mendonça managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Imbituba - FSCMZ's supporters crossed their fingers, but Jailson de Mendonça was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 7th minute, Gui Souza hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 9th minute, Imbituba - FSCMZ's Guilherme Souza dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-0. Guilherme Souza might have been able to make a better finish in the 12th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Silviu Lung. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Guilherme Souza ran back to his position shaking his head. Silviu Lung made an important save on a dangerous shot by Guilherme Souza in the 12th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 16th minute, Guilherme Souza managed to get in a good position for a shot. Imbituba - FSCMZ's supporters rose to their feet, but Guilherme Souza was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Silviu Lung breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Silviu Lung showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Guilherme Souza in the 20th minute of the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Lobo Guará in the 38th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Silviu Lung saved Stiinta-Univ. from getting behind. Horaţiu Corduneanu made in the 42nd minute of the game a fairly good throw-in which was taken care of by Aristide Pupăzan. It was a well-played corner which Guilherme Souza managed to volley towards the net. Unfortunately, he didn't get a great hit on the ball and it went out into the grandstand.

The wind increased when Irinel Itoafă made the kick off in the second half. 51 minutes into the game, Lobo Guará cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-0. Silviu Lung was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Silviu Lung made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Guilherme Souza in the 56th minute of play. If Guilherme Souza had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 59th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Silviu Lung showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Guilherme Souza in the 59th minute of the match. 63 minutes into the match, Guilherme Souza had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Silviu Lung. Stiinta-Univ.'s manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Guilherme Souza was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 4-0. 68 minutes into the game, Marcel Bărcăuan was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Stiinta-Univ.'s manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Imbituba - FSCMZ the free kick. In the 68th match minute, Stiinta-Univ. was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Marcel Bărcăuan to maneuver through the defense. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Mircea Creangă during the 70th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Stiinta-Univ.'s Silviu Lung played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cafu Aparecido in the 71st minute of play. In the 74th minute Guilherme Souza shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Silviu Lung saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Silviu Lung stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Guilherme Souza's shot from short distance in the 79th minute. Stiinta-Univ.'s Manuel Burdujan got a good chance for a goal in the 82nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Guilherme Souza might have been able to make a better finish in the 85th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Silviu Lung. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Guilherme Souza ran back to his position shaking his head. 85 minutes into the match, Stiinta-Univ.'s goal looked a bit too open when Guilherme Souza came free, but Silviu Lung reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Silviu Lung made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Guilherme Souza in the 91st minute of play. Aristide Pupăzan's late challenge caught a Imbituba - FSCMZ's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Aristide Pupăzan helped the player get up and apologised. 93 minutes into the match, Guilherme Souza had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Silviu Lung.
