The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Imbituba - FSCMZ's Rodriguinho de Queirós played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Marcello Lewandowski in the 3rd minute of play. Rodriguinho de Queirós didn't succeed to prevent the ball from going into goal when Tribos's Marcello Lewandowski shot an unexpected shot in the crossbar's under edge and made 0-1 in the ordered_time% minute. Edvin van der Saar was a little too slow when Lobo Guará got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 13th minute. The score was now 1-1. Tribos's Adélio Pinhal quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Júnior Mattos, made in the 15th minute of the game. Edvin van der Saar made a fantastic save in the 20th minute, when Guilherme Souza sent off a good shot on target. Edvin van der Saar showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Guilherme Souza in the 21st minute of the match. Lobo Guará recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 25th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After having played for 26 minutes, Guilherme Souza managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Imbituba - FSCMZ's supporters crossed their fingers, but Guilherme Souza was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Rodriguinho de Queirós didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Marcello Lewandowski went, in the 34th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-3 was the resulting score. The supporters of Tribos booed when Imbituba - FSCMZ was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 39 match minutes in a wonderful position. Guilherme Souza didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Lobo Guará in the 41st minute of play forced Tribos's goalkeeper Edvin van der Saar to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Lobo Guará in the 41st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Edvin van der Saar saved Tribos from getting behind.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Lobo Guará to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 50th match minute, Tribos was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Christopher Sjögren to maneuver through the defense. 52 minutes into the match, Tribos's goal looked a bit too open when Guilherme Souza came free, but Edvin van der Saar reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Marcello Lewandowski could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 53rd minute of the match, but Rodriguinho de Queirós made a huge save. The Imbituba - FSCMZ fans' excitement grew in the 54th match minute when Imbituba - FSCMZ's Guilherme Souza looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 2-4 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. A collision led to Tribos getting a freekick after 57 minutes play. Marcello Lewandowski could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 76th minute of the match, but Rodriguinho de Queirós made a huge save. Tribos's Marcello Lewandowski got a good chance for a goal in the 77th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Marcello Lewandowski might have been able to make a better finish in the 80th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Rodriguinho de Queirós. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Marcello Lewandowski ran back to his position shaking his head. The audience thought a goal was coming when Marcello Lewandowski got free with Rodriguinho de Queirós in the 80th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Imbituba - FSCMZ's Rodriguinho de Queirós played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Marcello Lewandowski in the 82nd minute of play. Marcello Lewandowski succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 2-5 in the 86th playminute. After 89 played minutes Tribos got a freekick which was hit by Christopher Sjögren. An unexpectedly hard shot by Guilherme Souza in the 92nd minute of play forced Tribos's goalkeeper Edvin van der Saar to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Tribos's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
